Master Chief Petty Officer Jeffrey J. Harris

Master Chief Petty Officer Jeffrey J. Harris is a Master-at-Arms and a native of Seminole, Oklahoma. He reported to Navy Boot Camp at RTC Great Lakes in August 2003. He graduated from the University of American Military College where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice in 2018.

At sea, his enlisted tours include USS Nassau (LHA 4) as a Deck Seaman in 2003, earning both Enlisted Surface Warfare Specialist and Enlisted Aviation Warfare Specialist, USS George Washington (CVN 73) as Security Department Leading Petty Officer, where he went on three deployments and was selected to the rank of Chief Petty Officer in 2014, Maritime Expeditionary Security Group TWO Detachment Bahrain as Mission Commander in 2018, where he earned Expeditionary Warfare Specialist and was selected to the rank of Master Chief Petty Officer in 2021 and Naval Security Force Bahrain as Senior Enlisted Leader at the premier and largest MA force.

His shore assignments include La Maddalena, Italy as Watch Commander in 2005, Strategic Communication Wing ONE Tinker Air Force Base Oklahoma as Restriction Division Leading Petty Officer in 2007 and Senior Enlisted Leader at Naval Support Activity Charleston in 2015, where he was selected to the rank of Senior Chief Petty Officer in 2018 and Commander, Fleet Activity Sasebo Security Department as the Senior Enlisted Leader in August 2021.  Master Chief Harris reported to Marine Corps Security Force Battalion Kings Bay, Georgia in April 2025, where is serving as Senior Enlisted Advisor.

He served on teams that have been recognized with numerous awards and is the recipient of five Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medals, four Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medals, seven Good Conduct Medals and various campaign and unit awards.  His leadership impact culminated in selection as the 2023 and 2024 Large-Installation Naval Security Forces of the Year recipient with three consecutive CNIC Sailor of the Year selections from 2022-2024.
