U.S. Marines, sailors and Royal Commandos begin their descent from a mountain top in the Scottish Highlands, Inverness, Scotland, July 19, 2016, during the mountain training phase of the Tartan Eagle 16 exercise. This phase consisted of learning mountain survival skills, map reading and how to successfully traverse a mountain. Tartan Eagle is an annual training event that began in 1994.
