To train and qualify Marines in the Military Occupational Specialties of 8152 (Basic Security Guard) and 8154 (Close Quarters Battle Team Member) for service within Marine Corps Security Force Battalions, Fleet Anti-Terrorism Security Team (FAST) Companies, and Marine Barracks 8th & I, Washington, DC, and conduct other courses or training as directed by the Commanding Officer, Marine Corps Security Force Regiment.
Permanent Personnel & Tier 1 Marines:
Report in with Sesonal Service Uniform
Tier 1 Marines – Contact S-3 prior to check-in notifying them of check in dates, NAVPERS 1300-27, Financial worksheet, NAVMC 11709
Marines attending to the Basic Security Guard course will check in with the duty desk of Building 360, NSA Northwest Annex. Check-in uniform will be the Service Alpha uniform. Students will arrive with a copy of their orders, medical record, dental record, and command pre-screening checklist. Weekends and after hours, students will check in with the OOD in Building 366.
If using a GPS (237 Relay Rd, Chesapeake, VA 23322) will bring you to the front gate of the base. Once on base, make a left on Olympic Ave. Marine Corps Security Force Training Company is on the right side of Olympic Ave.
Students attending Security Forces Training Course and Close Quarters Battle Course generally have liberty on the weekends and weekdays upon completion of training.
Marines may receive a 3- or 4-day liberty period. During these weekends, Marines are afforded the opportunity to request special liberty. These liberty bounds will consist of a 50-mile radius for normal workdays, 350-mile radius for 3-Day liberty periods and 450-mile radius for 4-Day liberty periods, subject to the discretion of the Commanding Officer, Company First Sergeant, Course OIC and Course SNCOIC.
Scheduled Holiday Weekends will align with the MARFORCOM liberty periods within the Calendar Year.
