On behalf of the Commanding Officer, I am excited to welcome you to the Marine Corps Security Forces Battalion, Bangor family and to Naval Base Kitsap! MCSFBn, Bangor is a proud member of Marine Corps Security Forces Regiment and Marine Corps Forces Command. The reputation of MCSFBn, Bangor is the "Best Security Force Battalion in the World" and because of your Marines and Sailors, we live up to that name. Central to the battalion's ability to accomplish their mission is Family Readiness.
The MCSFBn, Bangor Family Readiness Program is designed to aid Marines, Sailors, and their families in meeting the many challenges unique to the military lifestyle and maximizing all the opportunities and resources available. As your Family Readiness Officer, I provide official communication from the command to you, and facilitate training and education support focused on the rigors of a military lifestyle, family, career, and unit mission events. I am also your primary point of contact for information and referral to the many resources provided by Fleet and Family, MWR, Naval Base Kitsap, and the local community.
For those new to the community, I have information on different things to do in Washington and a ton of resources to enhance your life and help to build your families' resiliency! One of the best ways to meet new friends and become a part of the MCSFBn, Bangor family is to attend one of our many upcoming events. The Marine Corps and Navy is "One Team, One Fight" and we are all in this together to support each other and ultimately MCSFBn, Bangor's mission.
The MCSFBn Family Readiness Program enjoys an incredible reputation because of our many volunteers. Spouses, children, parents, and friends who give of their time and talents to support their Marine or Sailor are truly the soul of our program. If you would like to be a part of this fun and exciting group, please let me know. We would love to have you!
I look forward to getting to know all of you very soon. If you are ever at the Battalion, please come and visit me at my office. If you are far away, please give me a call or send me an e-mail. My door is always open. I hope to see you out at one of our events, and again, welcome to the MCSFBn family!
MCSFBn, Bangor Family Readiness Officer
